Friend . . .

I have some good news for you. It is very good news. It has blessed the souls of millions of men, women, boys and girls through the centuries. It is “good tidings of great joy.” It can be an inestimable blessing to you. I invite you to read about this Good News with great care.

But as a faithful servant of the Lord, I must tell you at once some bad news. It is very bad news. We cannot fully appreciate the Good News unless we understand the bad news.

Almighty God is righteous. He is holy. He has revealed to men His righteousness and holy Law.

The bad news is that we have all, without exception, broken God’s Law or failed to live up to its demands. We have transgressed the Law in words, in thoughts and in deeds.

We have sinned against God (Romans 3:23).

But worse . . . God will not tolerate sin. “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23), separation from God through all eternity.

And, to cap the dreadful climax, we cannot save ourselves from our dire predicament.

Our character will not save us. Our conduct will not save us. Our willpower will not save us. Our church membership will not save us. Our pastor will not save us. We desperately need a Saviour.

* * * * * * *

And now the Good News. It is true that God is righteous and holy. But He is also loving, kind, merciful and compassionate. He loves us with an infinite and tender love. He loves us so much that He intervened in human history and sent us the Saviour we need.

Who is the Saviour, this wonderful love-gift from God the Father? He is Jesus Christ, the ever-blessed Son of the living God. Oh how we thank and praise the Almighty for stooping to our needs and rescuing us from our dismal plight!

What marvelous Good News this is!

And how specifically was the problem of our sin and resultant death divinely solved?

The Bible is crystal clear. Let us hear its message with humble, thankful hearts. Let us heed its solemn warnings and gracious invitation. Let us gladly submit to its plain, compelling summons.

This is what the blessed Lord Jesus did for lost sinners. This is Good News indeed.

He, the sinless Son of God, bore the guilt and shame of our sins upon Himself. He “bare our sins in His own body”(1 Pet. 2:24) when He died on the cross of Calvary. He “died for our sins” and “He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3,4).

The prophet Isaiah writes eloquently: “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

The justice of God was revealed in the verdict of death. The love of God was revealed in that the death was visited, not upon sinners who deserved it, but upon His dearly beloved Son.

* * * * * * *

What then is my privilege and duty? I must recognize my need of a Saviour. I must realize that by nature I am a lost sinner, and I must bow my heart in loving devotion and sincere faith before the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lover of my soul.

With all my being, my intellect, feeling and will, I must trust Him as my own personal Saviour—as the One who shed His precious blood on the cross that I might be cleansed, forgiven and accepted as righteous in the sight of God.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved . . .” (Acts 16:31) – saved from the guilt and penalty of sin, born again into the family of God (John 3:3) and redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God (1 Peter 1:18,19).

This is God’s plan of salvation. Those who gladly embrace the plan and receive Christ as their Saviour have everlasting life (John 3:16). Their feet are planted squarely on the royal highway of blessing that leads them to Heaven, their everlasting home.

Those who reject the Saviour–and how I hope that you are not in this group–will experience a visitation of the wrath of God.

Who told us this? The beloved apostle John. He gave us a solemn warning: “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life” (John 3:36). Isn’t that wonderful? Trust Jesus Christ with all your heart as your dear Saviour and you enter at once into eternal life, never to be separated from the Lord you love.

But please notice the rest of John 3:36: “And he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

The wrath of God. What tragedy! What visitation of judgment! What irreparable loss!

Let us believe God. Let us take Him at His Word. Let us stake our soul’s immortal destiny on the finished work of Christ on our behalf.

If our hearts are humble and receptive, if we turn to the Lord Jesus Christ in saving faith, our everlasting portion will be joy forever in His blessed presence. Heaven’s gates will open before our wondering view. We shall know the inexpressible delight of being forever in the presence of our adorable Lord.

What is your response to the gracious summons of the Son of God?

I trust that it is a glad, positive, sincere, mature affirmation of faith. I plead with you to trust Christ as your Saviour, to rejoice that your sins are forgiven for Jesus’ sake and to join the company of the redeemed.

“What is salvation?”

If you want to escape the righteous judgment of God, transfer your trust to the finished work of the God-man. Simply place your heart’s trust in the death, burial, and resurrection on the third day.

“Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Cor. 15:1-4).

It’s so awesome to have leaders like you in WV! I’m also pretty yellow. I think I get it from my mom. I’ve just been looking around for the right reasons for me to do this for the last year and a half. In any case, I love all my friends here. I’m LDS. I find it so funny that we can explain why everything is in the scriptures and yet we, as a people, are so far from living it’s true message at this time. You are awesome Dr. Piestch!

    Dear Dr. Pietch,
I found this website from old notes and wasn’t sure what I would find. I was inspired after reading what others had posted.
When Wes showed pictures of Israel at Saturday’s training I loved them. Today a friend told me how I needed to go and tonight I saw your wonderful photos, thanks for sharing!
I met you a few times in the San Jose area. I live north of Berkeley. I am in Angie & Shawn’s team so therefore in yours also. I still have your business card you gave me. I just listened to your Sunday night call from Santa Monica. Welcome home!
As a Christian (Catholic) I was just thinking of how the Lord always provides from today’s readings and how we are worth more than a sparrow, not to worry about anything. My Daily Prayer, “Lord you created me and put me on earth for a purpose. You died for me and called me to complete your work. Holy Spirit please help me to carry out the work for which I was created and called. In your presence and name.” I pray I can find the people the Lord wants me to help.
Thank you for all that you do to inspire, lead and motivate.
I have re-committed to showing more people World Ventures as a vehicle to make their dreams come true. I bought my ticket to United yesterday and have to figure out the rest!
God’s grace and blessings to you and your family.

    Hi Dr. Dave.
I love it that you are a role model in World Ventures and mostly, that you serve our Lord. Your ministry inspires me to reach higher and fuels my passion to run this race to His glory. You have helped me in developing my “why-to” by your example and I sincerely appreciate you!
    Thank you Friend.

  5. Paul Horsley January 25, 2014

Hi David, You have done a Great job on the site. Congratulations! “The Truth” Lives here, is clear and simple to read. Love the references throughout.

I thought I’d share a short story… because this was one of my issues before being saved. Not long ago I was sitting on a Jumpseat in the cockpit from Atlanta to Minneapolis. While at cruise altitude during a time of very low workload, the two pilots flying began a discussion about their respective churches. It went on for a few minutes with no real “Truth” being discussed. When they paused, and the timing right, I ask them both a simple question. It went like this, to pilot #1, “What church do you attend?” He told me “Assemblies of God church”, and I ask pilot #2 the same question. He said “a Baptist church”. I looked at both of them and said, “ok guys, which one of you is doctrinally right (what the Bible teaches)?” “Because you both can’t be right as your doctrinal statements are different.” That’s a fact.

They both looked at each other for what seemed like a long time, then turned and asked me what church I go to. Good question for them to ask me, right?! I told them that I went to a Church that teaches “The Gospel of Christ” as it is the Power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes… Romans 1:16 and then I gave them the clear Gospel from 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 like you have done with this site. The discussion progressed from there.

As you say here on your website, a Believer’s salvation rests in “Christ’s finished work on The Cross”. I wanted to make it crystal clear to these two pilots what the difference is between all the different churches under the “Christendom umbrella” so to speak, and what the Bible teaches about the true Christian Believer. You either believe Christ alone took care of your sins and didn’t miss any one sin (solely Faith in His death, burial, and resurrection to cover all our sins) or you believe some variance of that ALONG with having to do some kind of work FOR your salvation.

Most people don’t see that many Christendom churches have some truth intermixed with a works based message. (Christ “Plus” – what I can do to help Him (Christ) on the Cross to cover the personal sin problem ) That’s a great lie. There are reasons for this in addition to and beyond trying to “control” the religious congregation for it’s own (church’s) selfish reasons. I have never had anyone respond to that question with the correct answer to date. That’s a sad statement, but one that never seems to be asked or answered correctly.

For clarity to those that read this, there is “one way” to eternal salvation and this (David’s) site makes eternal salvation and the only way to get a hold of it, crystal clear.

Read this site, over and over and over. Your eternal state of being rests dearly on the correct understanding of what the Bible teaches. Read it… everyday and pass it along to everyone!

Thanks for putting up the site David, many Crowns await you.

    In Christ,

    Paul H.

Thank you for sharing the gospel with us this past Sunday in Louisville Dr. Pietsch! I love the fact that I belong to a great company with great leaders that aren’t withholding the Godseed that is planned within them. See, this isn’t like corporate America where higher ups abstain from sharing the TRUTH! What I’ve found in WV an amazing concept that adds belief to people’s lives and eventually turns into our calling, which is to help others from the grasp of the enemy which is affecting many areas of their lives. It was great to see how God’s presence was able to satify the hunger that so many members had for the presence of Jesus Christ in their lives!

    Living with purpose,

    Dr. Pietsch,

Amazing talk Sunday! It touched my spirit. I am a believer and I love Worldventures. I was hooked mentally but did really pull the trigger until my sponsor’s persistence just annoyed me enough to join to get him to stop. Dr. Pietsch I know you can identify with that. But when I came to Momentum 2012 and attended my first church service held by Scott Ross and others it was then I realized I was really in the right place at the right time. Hearing you Sunday was more confirmation for me and now I can really realize my mission of sharing Christ and Worldventures with anyone who will listen. Let’s go change the world.

  11. Darla Callahan January 20, 2014

THANK YOU for the teaching yesterday (Sun at WV Momentum Louisville, KY). I am 51 and a 21 yr Hospice RN in the St Louis area. God dropped WV in my lap last March 2013 after my 33 yr marriage ended in Jan, 2013. I have not missed a training since. I have sponsored 2. Today R leg has spillover of 230. L leg has 0. After 2013 Boot Camp in Denver, I knew this organization, filled to the brim with Christians who were walking their talk, was the vehicle God wanted to use to fulfill the call on my life. I came to momentum expecting God to move in a powerful way. I was not disappointed.

I knew about a year prior to my divorce God was preparing me to leave Hospice. As you can imagine the burnout is great. God however, called me to that position after my father went to his heavenly home (after an ugly battle with lung cancer and without the benefit of hospice) in March 1992. The day I entered hospice full time in June 1993, I told Him I would do this as unto Him knowing I was being called to Hospice for a season. I committed my hospice career to Him in 1993 and agreed to stay until he moved me.

One day in October, God placed it on my heart so strongly that it was time for me to quit my full time position in hospice at the end of the year (12/31/13) after 22 yrs at my Hospital. Although I wanted to leave with every ounce of my being, I knew financially I was not ready for this move. However, the circumstances and the timing was situated by God so perfectly that I knew it was HIS TIME and all He needed from me was a faith filled “Yes, Lord.” After a very intense four hour session with Him, I did agree and wrote my resignation and turned it in to my supervisors the very day He asked me to leave. I do not plan to suggest to others that they quit and am very hesitant to say it here if this is to be read by others. But, for me, I knew the power of God and it was on me that day.

As the enemy would have it, on my last day of work, I had an accident in my company car. I received a ticket, and I came down with an upper respiratory infection that lasted 11 very long days even after multiple meds, I am still only about 75%. It is the sickest I have been in my life. I still have a cough and trouble deep breathing. Oh well, Satan, I am not impressed! TO GOD BE THE GLORY AND HIS WILL BE DONE.

As God provided yesterday at church, I had a front row seat. During your message, the spirit moved and I know, that I know, that I know, that I can plow through my fear and the lies of the enemy that have been holding me back to date.

I have been a Christian and in a denominational church for more than 30 years. During my divorce I started attending a non-denominational church. Until yesterday, I have never heard the prophesies like you taught. It created a stirring in my soul. My mind, my will and my emotions came under the spirit head and my eyes were opened. As the words flowed from your mouth, the tears fled from my eyes. Jesus spoke!

Im getting on the treadmill now (over 100 lbs to lose) praying God will heal my lungs as I do the right thing. Drove home from Louisville last night and stayed up to write out my names list. Could not hold my eyes open so went to bed at #175. Working on appointments for the week after I work out.

WV is my full time ministry … “To help God change the lives of His children… physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually.” WV provides the “whole” deal that will transform all lives if we do as the leaders say.

I really felt led to share my story and say “thank you” for your continued obedience. He used you in a mighty way yestetday. I am confident the men in your family are very proud … You are following in their footsteps in an awesome 2014-kind-of-way. May God bless you and your family & give you an increasing passion and new understanding of Him and His Word so you may be used to glirify Him as never before.

    In Him,

PS. Thank you for this site. It is a new “favorite.”

    Dr. Pietsch,
I had to take a moment to write and to thank you for posting this and for being so transparent in this blog. I am part of Dream Team OHIO and got to meet you when you are here.
I wonder if you realize how many people (dream teamers) look up to and how this post is going to impact so many. My yellow is out right now and it brought a few tears as I read what you wrote. I am a christian as well and personally been struggling with how to make WV work because I am so yellow and been a little wounded in the battle. Anyway, this website could not have come at a better time so thank you for all that you do and for sharing your testimony. God Bless you and Princess Buttercup as you continue in your travels and lighting up the world.I pray to be there one day. Sincerely, Dana Durkin
